| Princess Pearl | Princess Pearl was my first friend. I think we started right around the same time. For the longest time, we helped each other with our tasks. I often times thought of Princess Pearl and I as Chip and Dale: "What task are you working on?" "No, let's work on your task." "But I'd really like to help you with your task!" Instead of "Let's work on that" I think Speed Chat needs to have in it, "No, I insist we work on your task!" Or, in the spirit of Chip and Dale, "Why don't we work on them together?!?" I've not seen her in awhile, but I remain hopeful she'll return again. |
| Majikbunny |
Majikbunny is a very helpful Toon. I believe we met on a Cog Factory run, and was the first one that steered me off to take the "long way" in order to defeat as many Cogs as possible on the run. What really blew me away on this run was using sound to just knock off row after row of Cogs. Majikbunny has been very helpful, and very willing to invite me along on tasks as well. It's been great fun, and Majikbunny convinced me to start making VP runs, which have been very, very interesting. Lately, Majikbunny has been off in the Cashbot HQ a lot, and while I'm only starting to earn my Cashbot suit parts, I'm ready to start making Mint runs, and I think Majikbunny will be very helpful in getting me started there. In fact, in the days before SpeedChat Plus, Bunny was the one that somehow talked me through all the cog wheel stack and big cog wheel room challenges. How we got that done without SC Plus, I'll never know! And then you get to know more. I don't set out to be oblivious, but sometimes I am. For example, I always felt that Majikbunny was a she, but one day a friend pointed out that I should stop calling the bunny "she" because "she" was wearing short pants instead of a skirt, and didn't have long eyelashes. Oh, just never knew! Then, come to find out, the bunny I was playing with WAS a she! She and her father shared the toon, in a way, with the father running the factories and mints, and the daughter running the VPs and CFOs. I learned that the rabbit I was playing with late in the night really WAS a she! I knew it! We've become great friends since then, and that includes the father AND the daughter. |
| Super Slappy Thunderbrains | This monkey is really the female side of Majikbunny. Father and daughter take turns back and forth on these two toons, but this toon is really the daughter's toon. It's always a fun guessing game to see who's on the other end of a "Hi there!" when I log on - who is playing who right this minute? |
| Knuckles |
Knuckles is a very cool Toon who really taught me how to work with gags effectively. Up until playing with him, I feared going in any tall
building without at least as many Toons as there were stories in the building. I also worried about going in buildings in The Brrrrgh.
Then, my tasks started taking me to The Brrrrgh, and at that point I met Knuckles and we took a four story building together, just the two
of us. I knew that it was possible for people to do so, but I didn't know that I could be involved in that. We spent night after night
taking four or five story buildings together, just the two of us. It was very good fun. I'm not sure where he has gone off to.
Then one day Knuckles came back for a bit. I saw her online, and she had been working on a different toon. I got to know that toon, and we played some together, and it was a happy occasion. Now that toon is not showing up. I can only assume yet another toon has come into play, and I don't know who it is. Funny how baffling this gets sometimes! |
| Scary Cat / Lady Kookymarbles / Scat Cat | Scary Cat has been a great running mate on Toontown. For the longest time, Scary Cat, Majikbunny, Zippy, and I ran mint after mint after mint, chatting away and entertaining each other, sometimes leading us to laughing out loud in the middle of the night in otherwise dark and quiet abodes. Scary and I have helped each other immensely, changing back and forth on our various toons to help as much as possible whenever one of us needs something the other can only take care of with a different toon. |
| Zippy | Zippy is a great member of the Gang of Four, roaming the Cashbot Mints together on an almost nightly basis. There came a day when Zippy suddenly disappeared. We all get in the habit of just expecting our usual "crowd" to show up sometime through the night, and the four of us have gotten to know each other well enough that we always tell someone when we're not going to be on the following day, weekend, etc. Usually, the word spreads. It was not so with Zippy: one night, she wasn't there, and wasn't there the next, the next, the next. It becomes one of those things that is a bit baffling and unsettling: here's a "person" you have become accustomed to talking with almost nightly, get to know each other, and have a rhythm about their participation, play, and interaction, and then one day when they don't show up you realize you have no other way to find out just what's going on. It becomes unsettling because you couldn't explain it to anyone else: "I know this person, I talk with them nightly... oh, and I have no idea how to get ahold of them!" When Zippy returned lately, we were all ecstatic and concerned. We learned she had family issues and illnesses that stretched on for quite awhile. We're happy everything has improved, and we're relieved to have our friend back. |
| Moonlight Sonata | For so many toons, it becomes a blur as to how I came to meet them. In Moonlight's case, I almost think I saw her around several times in boss battles, then remarked privately once that I liked her name. I think it was only days later I found out we had a mutual friend in Melody Whiskerpow. I'm not positive this story is correct, but it sure seems right. We both live in the same part of the country, but alas have one issue between the two of us: our favorite baseball teams play across the bridge from each other! Somehow, though, we've pushed on and remained friends. ;) |
| Slimy Silly Sally | Another great person to play with late at night. There are wonderful toons on late in the evening that are obviously adults, and we tend to enjoy the times without fear of having someone grief us! Late night runs were always easiest when playing with the adults, but they also can become tedium when you are running them time after time after time. Our solution has always been to fight tedium with laughter (isn't that the way of the toon?), and there have been plenty of nights where one of the Gang of Four wasn't on, and the random toon we've taken with us on a Bullion mint has been in in stitches from laughter by the end of the run. Sally was one of those toons, and befriended me at the end of the run. We have had a great time since, and both have been working smaller toons together. Sally is working an uber, something I just am not at a point that I could do right now - too many factory runs where one missed lure means your guaranteed demise! |
| Melody Whiskerpow | Melody and I have been prowling the DA offices together of late. She is very taken with the CEO - much more than I am at present. Why not? It takes so darned long to fight a CEO battle! The great thing is that Melody got me working on the CEO again. She's been very helpful, great at spurring me on, and she and I have started racing too. One night Melody lamented, "I'm tired of still being this same laff for so long." I agree - I'd been stuck on 121 for a very long time. At that point, we started thinking about the low hanging fruit: racing for fun, profit (tickets!), and trophies. After some effort, trophies = laff points, so we're hard at it. |
| Snow Princess | A west coastie! A great cream colored cat who has been very helpful and great company as we both pursue our Lawbot and Bossbot levels. We're having a great time talking about the game while playing the game. She has a great sense of humour, and a great way of poking fun into the equation. |
